Slept in/lay out/vball/kayak/made earnings/ran at Shaws Bay/pub

I was letting myself sleep in this morning---my knee has been giving me trouble and I needed some extra sleep. Unfortunately my body woke me up at 7:30, so much for sleeping in! But it was just gorgeous today---not a cloud in the sky and already 80 degrees at 8AM! I got a few homework things done before heading to catch some sun. By the time I got outside, there were about 6 students already there! Pretty soon after I laid down, another 5 or so joined, it was a great lay-out day!
We got a great 6-on-6 volleyball game going--great volleys and plays! At 1:00, a group of students went down and we kayaked on Lake Ainsworth--I hadn't gone in awhile and the lake felt great with it being so hot! I kayaked out in the middle and then attached to the other kayaks and just drifted along! The lake was so calm and relaxing---I stayed out for over 2 hours---got a lil red on my back but nothing too bad---luckily I put suntan lotion on prior to going out there! I talked with Casey and Kate for awhile and then Kate went in. Casey (freshmen on the trip) and I stayed out for awhile longer just talking about relationships---I enjoyed having her company! We decided to head in and I stopped off to talk with Ivonne (little old lady who lives by the lake and takes care of the BSU students every semester looking after the cabins when we are gone and giving us recommendations). Ivonne helped me make some earnings from the beads she had out---i really enjoyed all her beautiful beads, shells, and accessories and made a beautiful silver and pearl pair to take back home!
I headed back to the cabins, did some jumpy beach pictures with Cami at the ocean and then got ready to go to the Triathalon practice (swim and run) with the Triathalon club here. Unfortunately I went over to Shaws Bay and I guess they were not practicing anymore because no one was there! So I just ran by myself down along the pier.
When I got home, Kate brought me some manicotti over which Terry (Professors wife) had made and it was delicious!! It is so nice being the GA and having dinners and desserts made for me and Terry is a great cook--everything is delicious! Tonight I promised Kate I would watch "Life As We Know It" with her and a few other students were interested so we headed to the Education Building and had a little movie night--with some baked cinnamon apple oatmeal, no bake cookies, and popcorn! The movie put the audience on an emotional roller coaster. Very cute, sad, happy, loving, and sarcastic emotions. I enjoyed way too many desserts, but enjoyed getting to relax!
A few students and I headed down to the pub but I stayed only about an hour---too much Reggae music for me and I was quite tired! What a beautiful and fun filled day, these are the days why I don't want to leave Australia.
