Sunrise/rainy/paper/family dinner

Jason, Jen, Cami, Casey, and I decided to go to the Point this morning for a sunrise. It was sprinkling already but nothing terrible. Since there were only 5 of us, I decided to take van last minute, hoping the professor didn't need it early this morning! We left at 4:40AM and then rested in the van in the car park for about 45 min. We left the van at 5:30 and started hiking up the side of the Point. It was already getting fairly light out, however, there were so many clouds we didn't know what we were going to see this morning. We took lots of fun pictures and must have just missed the rain because we saw raincloud spots pouring in the ocean. There was a little pink purple to the sunrise but remained fairly cloudy the entire sunrise. We enjoyed the morning together and then retreated back to the van and back at the cabins.
I went to Cami's cabin for a little to chat since we were both awake and then started working on my paper again. I only got so far before I felt myself getting really tired. I took a 2 hour nap---I do not really like naps and they make me feel even more drowsy...boo. I knew I had to get up  and continuing working more on my paper though. I felt very productive today and the rain helped a lot. It just poured on and off today---the loudest rain I have ever heard. I stopped a couple times during my work because of the immense sound the rain made.
I took a small break and did a spinning class with Colin--listening to a new artist, Childish Gambino the entire ride---he is a great new rapper, a little sexual for my liking but has some great one liners in his music. After a great workout, it was time to help make family dinner--french toast, cinnamon apples, sausage, and hash-browns. It took awhile to make 5 loaves of bread for the group but it was delicious!!! Everyone was very satisified, had a quick touching base meeting, and then it was back to my cabin for clean-up and more homework!
I cannot believe there is only 7 days left....squeezing every minute I have left!
