Good morning everyone!! I miss everyone from home and school and hope you are all surviving the snow back in the Midwest!
This morning I started with a nice uphill bike ride with three other students. We took the street out which is very hilly. Everywhere we turned was another hill. It was a bit chilly but after the first hill we were all sweating. It was a great ride, however, only about 45 minutes because I had an online class to get back to. After class, I organized the rest of the Mt. Warning/Gold Coast trip for this weekend.
I joined up with the Marine Biology class to head out to Cast Point where we walked among hundreds and hundreds of rocks to find marine life---we came across small fish, crabs, sea anemones, lots of shells, and sea cucumbers. We searched little water holes, and some of the students even snorkeled close by. I held my first crab today! It was blazing hot this afternoon! If felt good to get back in the bus and feel some AC!!
The rest of the night I planned more of the Mt. Warning trip---lots of stress today with booking/canceling/running back and forth to cabins----brain is fried today but tomorrow is another day and it will be a long one!!
