Woke up around 7:30AM to get started on an online class to find out BSU was under so much snow and classes was canceled! Well that meant time to get my blog started and also get the cabin a bit more organized!
For break fast I ate an apple and also some Just Right cereal---much like Honey bunches of Oats. Then it was off for a run which I did around 10:30AM out into town and into a Hippie Trailor Park area---very nice people and I just followed around a black path around the park. Boy was it hot though----I ran for only 30 minutes because I was dripping because of the heat-- I will have to go earlier from now on. I made it back home and had a little snack. We were all going to the grocery today--called Coles and KMart. We piled into a van and Dr. Avila's van and went to Byron Bay--about 15 min bus ride. We went to a Bait and Tackle shop where a bunch of students got their fishing licenses and then we went to Coles. Abby and I shopped together for items! Some things I had never heard of and we made a guess on most items since we didn't know any of the product names. It took us about 45 min to shop the entire store and AUS100 later we were done. I spent AUS 20 and together we spent AUS52 to share dinners and make meals together. Everything was very expensive and we really didn't know if we would enjoy any of it, but it was worth a go!
After the grocery, I was contacting the luggage services and luckily one of the students bags were found and would be returned that evening. 2 of the 4 bags would be here!! I am still missing mine and can't wait for it to get here---in the meantime some of the students were so generous to let me borrow flipflops, tank tops, and shorts from their bags. What nice students!
We had a meeting at 6 with another director about the rules of the cabin and camp and also introduce Scuba and Surfing lessons. We talked about taking surf lessons and going Scuba Diving. Then it was back to the cabin---it was a long day and I am beat-- time to get some rest for another big day tomorrow!
