I passed my driving test----but boy was it weird driving on the left side from the right side of the car. It was very unusual and rather challenging, but a bit of fun as well. Dr. Avila, Terry (his wife), Kate (his daughter), and my cabin-mate Abby went along for the ride. I think I did a fairly good job, however, since the turn signal is located on the right side, I kept hitting the windshield wipers instead and had them flying back and forth which was pretty entertaining. I drove and discovered the Aldi's, Crazy Clarks (discount dollar store), bus station, dropped by a local fish stop and had some fish and chips (mine of course was grilled---it was Hockey--simple white fish which tasted good---along with some tomato sauce (ketchup).
I looked into a couple gyms because I am going nuts not being able to weight lift, however, I am getting my cardio in by running, biking, and swimming everyday.
After returning the van safe and sound, I hopped on a bike and took it along the beach up to the peak (grassy hill). 4 Girls and 4 guys went, however the girls stopped by the base of the hill due to the muddy path which led upward and went back through town to go home. After returning, a volleyball net was set up in between the cabins, but soon it was 6 and time for another meeting. Surf coaches came into talk more about the lessons being offered on Saturday and we discussed what trips we would do over our stay.
Today was Rory's birthday so the Avila bought ice cream and cookies for everyone--mmm delicious!!!
We ended the night with a fun volleyball game and a bonfire!
