This morning I went to little church in town called St. Francis Xavier. It was a very small church, no AC, the pews and kneelers are all wooden and were very uncomfortable. There was no padding whatsoever---ouch!! The mass was very traditional, and it was very delightful to hear the accents during prayers, psalms, and songs. There were a few songs they played from back home and for the most part, singing sounds American with only a few words that draw out the Australian accent. I enjoyed the service and then went back home for breakfast.
It was already blazing hot and only 8:30AM so I decided to go lay out now and come in before it was unbearable.
I still had homework to do so the afternoon was another productive one--sitting in my kitchen under the fan--perfect spot!
I decided to head over to the pool and swim--haven't been swimming lately and felt a little winded this work-out--swam 1600m and then relaxed a little bit before dinner. Tonight was Mexican night----there is a Sunday night dinner committee which I am very thankful for and it was tacos, nachos, and bean dip! It was a successful dinner.
Because this weekend we are heading to Tennerfield (2 hr drive) with Lyn (professor) for the next three days, I had to pack tonight and learn a dance with Carlo--we would be putting on a talent show Monday night for the rest of the students so we decided to do a hiphop routine! It was another long day and have to make a 8 o'clock bus tomorrow morning so its bed time! Good night!
